CBR400RR NC29: Fuel injection based in Microsquirt EFI.
Hi all,
I'm start fitting Fuel injection to CBR400RR NC29 1991. I will try to upload all appropriate information to following topic.
So, after lot of investigation I'm planing following scope of works.

Will be changing this wiring diagramm in case something changed
Bigger picture: http://www.moto.kiev.ua/users/parus/CBR ... g_loom.tif
Following list of part going to be user:
[*] Microsquirt EMS (engine management system). It's open source project, many motorcycle already use it, lot of info, supporting 12-3 trigger wheel pattern on cramkshaft and 1 tooth wheel pattern on camshaft, small size (compare with VEMS or Megasquirt), supporting waste spark mode with 2 coils - all of this determine the choise. Microsquirt info: http://www.microsquirt.info/

[*] GSR400 throttle bodies will be more suitable and fit with minimun modifications I hope. CB400 HYPER VTEC throttle bodies should be bolt-on, but I can find any in Japan.
[*] Fuel pump aslo from GSR400
[*] Knock sensor from CBR400
[*] Wideband Lambda - Innovate LC-1 controler with 02 Bosch sensor.
[*] All other required stuff you can find wiring diagramm above.
So, wish me luck and do not expect significant progress, because I'm first doing this.

Here is dimmensions of GSR400 throttle bodies.

It's not bolt-on unfortunatelly and pairs of injectors for GSR400 is 4mm wider than CBR400RR NC29 carburators. I suggest that carb rubbers between carburator and engine allow to fix it ( or maybe not )

Very nice Parus, best of luck with it, looks cool. Would be damn cool to have a CBR400 with injection.

Good luck with this - I look forward to you retailing a full kit.
Keep us all up to date - I'm still hunting for a FI CB400SF to pull the injection system off - but as you say they are hard to locate - even in Asia.
Have fun.

I think it's good idea collect there all information about similar model like CB400SF.
Here is 2 links show CB400SF using throttle bodies from CBR929. I have no dimensions for CB400SF engine intakes and carbs, but looks like it should be similar to NC23 or NC29.

Here is CBR929 throttle bodies dimensions.

Will appreciate, if somebody send me intake measurement for NC23 engine.

One more point. Here is microfiche for CB400SF Revo throttle bodies. I can't find them by part number unfortunatelly. Maybe HONDA not sell them separatelly.

I was looking into the CB400 ones and yeah it looks like they aren't parting too many out currently. But that only takes time and crashes.
