Hi all,

Cheers

Thanks DM,
Doesn't the fact that the 35 carbs have straighter inlet air tracts make them flow better or is size all important?

As with engines, there is no substitute for sheer size.

Your find that most 30 carbs that are used on race bikes have almost non existant inlet stacks compared to standard ones, im not 100% if there cut flush with the carb or small rubber boots are fitted instead, dont think i have any pictures of mine to show you what i mean but im sure someone will be along shortly with a pic.

Thanks fellers,
I guess there is no substitute for size, bigger is better
Do you jet 30 carbs bigger as they flow more air?

Theres so many varibles when tuning/jetting NC carbs, do your research, decide on a setup(HRC, ram air, open carb etc etc) and you should find enough info on here do give a good baseline setting. To give you some idea of sizing the 30 carbs on my 35 run 144 front and 148 rear jets using ram air, thats no filter either.

Thanks DM,
I will start with the 120 jets i currently run, and standard airbox, and see how it goes. I will look into the open airbox and ram air, but i think i will get a few more miles under my belt before i go for full race spec carbs

Thanks Royster, i may well take you up on that offer, how much do you want for them?royster81 wrote:i have 122.5 jets for sale if you need something just a little bigger
I will run tham standard jets first and see how it goes. them go up from there, cos i reckon it will need to be up-jetted.
On a side note (sort of) i have noticed that the exhaust has quite alot of carbon in the end of the can, but the plugs look spot on.
