Re: HELP!!
Are you sure the system hasnt been bent? Its probably easiest to get it on an auxilary stand get the back wheel off and seat unit. It should go on fine!

we cant seem to get this fitted so it clamps onto the manifold

Re: HELP!!
Ive got a half yammamoto on my and ive looked at it, it is quite close to the right rearset but not the chain. Can't quite make out the first pic, that looks more like the link pipe to the Can?? Are you sure the link pipe is the right one??

Re: HELP!!
You don't need to remove the front headers for a half system, it should all go together fine.
Take teh system off and start from the rear headers. You'll see that when the rear header plate is on the studs there is quite a lot of movement in the pipes, so move them away from the footrest.
Don't do the bolts up tight, just assemble it and move things where you need them before tightening up the rear header bolts.

Re: HELP!!
the top pic is where the half system links to the yamamoto can
the problem is we did fit it rear first and the manifold plate wont push in enough to tighten all the bolts, one has rounded because it couldnt get enough thread. and we've tried hammering the plate in with rubber hammer and it wont go flush with the manifold.
and it just looks really tight by the swingarm and chain. i'll try get some more detailed images up soon.

Re: HELP!!
The plate wont go flat to the the rear headers as the pipes have shoulders on them. Thats what i found with mine anyway, like data says you need to loosely fit it then position it to where it clears the swingarm and the chain. Have you taken the link pipe off??

Re: HELP!!
when we fitted it the link pipe was off.
it just seems very tight, i know that some race systems do cut it a little fine with the swing arm but it just didnt seem to sit properly, and whatever way you moved it it just didnt seem to be giving it space round the swing arm.
where it connects to the front headers should it slide all the way in, because mine only slipped about half way.
