Where is the idle cable going on nc30(sorted)but need help

Post by theoutsider »

I was trying to adjust a bit my nc30 as it runs like shit, played with the idle cable and it came out.I haven`t got a clue where it goes back,a picture will be helpful, also how do I set the idle without the bike being started,it starts usually very hard,if it starts. Thanks

You are going to have to get down and dirty with it...

Get your tank off and have a look down the left hand side - you will be able to see where the idle screws into the carbs - easy to sort out but you need ot be able to see what you are doing.

Cheers mate.Sorted,i saw it without the tank off,but you can see much better with it off, also the bolt was threaded so thats why it wouldnt go in easy.

My bike finnaly started after cleaning all the plugs and heat them up with the blow torch. But it runs very bad,it won`t idle without my help,it splutters,it backfires,it takes ages to start and even after it`s warm it wouldn`t start as it should. If I try to start the bike few times,I need to take the plugs out to clean them as it won`t start. All started from putting the restrictors in the carbs.Restrictors in,bike will start, after 10 min nothing(but this has been 2 months ago) without the restrictors it wouldn`t start(but it ran absolutely spotless).Could my problems be related due to dead plugs?
