Rvf Hrc Cdi identification?

Post by Riley »

How do you know whether you have stumbled across an Hrc Cdi? I had an Rvf cdi listed on fleabay last night and a very honest and helpful member from this site asked for the part number printed on the cdi, I sent the details on and has suggested that it is an Hrc item. Thankyou who ever you are, whether it turns out to be or not. I've since altered the listing for a standard cdi and changed the photo - afterall I was only asking £30, and I have several in the workshop. The part number is NKA 907B 5613, anyone in the know if you could let me know your thoughts. The bike it was fitted to was Carlos' old bike which had the Hrc spec carbs and Hrc mild steel system fitted so it is a possibility. Thankyou for any input.

What a result! Cheers guys, next up, my bikes an nc30 (well sort of...) and as such its of no use to me so I will be wanting to move it on, I've done a little bit of research (so have rough idea) but what sort of money do people think its worth? I still haven't got all the money together for the wedding yet - so don't tell the soon to be mrs! :sshh: Plus there are still a couple of things left on my wish list on the bike.

I think the last 4 numbers are the date the CDI was produced i.e 5613 is 13th June 1995

I think the last four digits indicate the manufacturing line and revision of the part.

Sure it's a Z and not a funny 2?
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.
