3EN2 - track body work
So here's the thing - built the bike, it runs, have always had a set of 2003 R6 track bodywork laying around with the mind to use that.
Offered it up at the weekend, and whilst I know others have fitted it, it looks like an arseache to get it on and at the right angles - in particular the seat unit.
I've got all the bracketry and fairing frames from the 3EN2 (bent to buggery mind) and I'd really like to use as much of that as possible. I do not want to use any road panels mind you.
SO - options:
I've not seen any track body work for the 3EN2 ever anywhere - am I wrong - does anyone know of any?
92 FZR600 (pre foxeye) does the fairing fit straight on? Is the seat unit viable?
3TJ track bodywork - can it fit? does the seat unit match up with a bit of jiggery?
Ideas - anyone else done anything that is easy and looks half decent with standard fairing frames and mounting points.
I want to get out on this and the bodywork is the last BIG step!
all help and ideas appreciated!

Re: 3EN2 - track body work
The FZR600 3he fairing should fit although Skidmarx do a 3en2 race fairing.
The seat unit is a little bit tricky, I haven't seen one for any of the 1wgs. However if you can get a pair of side standard panels they usually come up cheap. I don't now if a 600 tail would fit straight on but it could be worth a try ... not sure if the riders saddles are similar, I guess you won't be taking a pillion
Pillion races now there's a concept

Re: 3EN2 - track body work
on your recommendation I've called Skidmarx this afternoon - a full race fairing for the 3EN2 is available and is £205 - screen (standard or slightly higher) another £40
all good, barring that I wish to spend about 1/3 of that max!
bummer - I'd love the right bodywork on it.
what to do huh? - a screen thats worth more than the rest of the bike and bolted to a fairing that is worth 4 times that!
thanks for the tip though evil - you're the FZR guvna, no mistake.
you going to Brands Hatch this weekend? - you drop by there once in a while I think I have read.

Re: 3EN2 - track body work
did post this in the wanted section but shouldnt have!
you can convert your seat unit into single seat for racing with some heat formable plastic without too much difficulty!
cut off the lugs that stick up out of the sides then cut and form plastic to run along the top of where the seat was and down over where the light would be, fix in place and jobs done! i left a slot / piece that can be removed to make getting the riders seat off easier! then sprayed it fluro pink

Re: 3EN2 - track body work
I ain't never heard of sheets of this stuff - where might it come from?
Would need a right hand tail piece panel to do this, as only have the left one to hand.
sounds feasible though.

Re: 3EN2 - track body work
Can't promise, but may just have a spare r/h side panel knocking about in the loft at home. It's been that long I can't remember what side of the bike it fits on.
I'll have a look when I get a chance. If I have one and you want it, you can have it for the price of postage.

Re: 3EN2 - track body work
heres the seller i got mine from! but any abs sheet should do it! i used the heat gun with the flat thin nozzle on it to heat the fold line, it stays bendy for a good few seconds, but if you dont get it right just heat it again, push it flat and start again!
