Re: velocity stacks?
You need stacks.
I bet the one without isn't very smooth to ride (like an on off switch )
Long for torque
Short for top end
Four short ones works well.

Re: velocity stacks?
yeah, but stan stephens did dyno work on one years ago and found the best compromise was 2 of each. i remember he did loads of testing each way with a race can and standard and it always came back like that.plus he didnt know 100%why.he just said honda got it right first time so left it.it isnt like that on most fours though.

Re: velocity stacks?
But latest model of NC29 has 4 short stacks. Correct? And in case yes, why they had changed them to all short.firebeast wrote:yeah, but stan stephens did dyno work on one years ago and found the best compromise was 2 of each. i remember he did loads of testing each way with a race can and standard and it always came back like that.plus he didnt know 100%why.he just said honda got it right first time so left it.it isnt like that on most fours though.

Re: velocity stacks?
internally the carbs will be different on the last of the nc29s,hence the short stacks
hrc stacks need an hrc airbox and carb mods to work properly

Re: velocity stacks?
the later one also produces less power.btw,i am not saying the short ones wont work, just it is probably best for normal road use.track use would be shorts.

Re: velocity stacks?
I'm not planning to fit HRC velocity stacks. Maybe in future when I'll like to convert bike just for track only or buy HRC airbox and etc. What I like to show they made all this HRC stacks short. I suggest due to performance on high speed.firebeast wrote:the later one also produces less power.btw,i am not saying the short ones wont work, just it is probably best for normal road use.track use would be shorts.
