Just what is the correct battery for an NC23!?!?
Picked up what I thought was the right one yesterday, a YTX9-BS, and it is too tall for the battery compartment!!! The old, dead one that came out of it has the code YTX7A-BS and slots in a treat. Wherever I look it says the YTX9-BS is the correct one, but I'm not having it. It physically does not fit!

Sorry to be pedantic but isn't the TriArm 1987 to 1989? and the Aero 86?

They have 3. Two are 105mm in height and the other is 110mm.
If it didn't fit by 5mm then you may need a 105mm one. Either that or your battery compartment has been changed?

Re: Just what is the correct battery for an NC23!?!?
I'll give Graeme a ring tomorrow (if he's open saturdays) and see what he suggests because I'm non the wiser. The one I have seems to be the right code and the correct 8Ah capacity but it doesn't fit (106mm tall). The one that does fit (about 95mm) is only 6Ah which might explain why the engine isn't even trying to start on the button when my charger says that the battery is ok.

The YTX 9BS should be the right battery. its also a really tight fit in the compartment. How much does it not fit by?
Too many bikes, so little time!
