600 into 3en2 - exhausts?

Post by jeff_leopard »

I am fitting a FZR600 (3HE) engine into a FZR400R 3en2 frame - The standard 600 headers are very close to the front wheel - are there any aftermarket headers that are a better fit?

This link has Delkevic headers - anyone with any experience with them? Are they any good / better fitting?

Many thanks!

They are indeed VERY close but don't touch under heavy braking. You can also fit the standard 3EN2 headers. Just remove the Exup and make a little plate to close off the hole that is left.

Before you buy delvelic headers from that place please note that I bought a set of thundercat heades from DK on ebay for £80. And sanybikespares (ebay) had them at the same price. Maybe worth a look to save a few quid

Whats the difference between being very close and having tight tollerances

If the wheel doesn't touch then it doesn't touch.
