Restoring a Honda CBR400RR Fireblade (NC29).

Post by exaroamj »

Hi everyone,
I'm excited to announce that I've just picked up a Honda CBR400RR Fireblade (NC29) and I'm planning a full restoration. This bike has been sitting in a garage for a few years, so it's going to need some serious TLC.
I'm envisioning a complete tear-down, cleaning, and rebuild, with new paint, tires, and possibly some engine work depending on what I find.
I'll be documenting the entire process here, with photos and updates as I go along. I'm hoping to get some advice and input from the experienced members of this forum, especially regarding sourcing parts and any common issues with the NC29.
First steps are to get it running, check the electrics, and assess the overall condition. If anyone has any tips or resources for this model, please let me know!
I'm really looking forward to bringing this classic back to its former glory. Stay tuned for updates!.
