Honda RVF400 petcock
So I'm new to the group and this bike is new to me. I've been doing research and this forum keeps coming up so I wanted to be part of it. I'm not new to the Honda V4. Just to the 400cc version. My question is, my bike runs just fine on a test bottle. When I have the tank on it seems to feel like it runs out of fuel, although the tank is full. I find it odd that the fuel valve has a off, on, reserve position, no prime. Why have a off position on a vacuum petcock. Can I make it a positive on, off petcock and not use the vacuum port by some modification? I've checked the venting of the tank by riding with the cap open, no difference. So I'm thinking the fuel valve is somehow starving the carbs. New vacuum line is on. Thanks for heiping!!
