Rebuild a cbr400

Hi I'll I recently perchased load of cbr 400 stuff I'm trying to rebuild a engine I'm at valve clearance at the mo and now stuck I have a pot of shimy things is there a default size for inlet and exhaust like a start point some shims have numbers on do thay mean anything becouse the don't measure up with metric or imp thank you for all help

Hello - apologies for the delay in approval!

Would suggest you look in the documents section http://www.400greybike.com/docs.htm

there is a range of clearances for both inlet and exhaust - would suggest you get a look at the manual, or a haynes - you really don't want to be getting it wrong.

The shims will be used according to the measurements taken so that you can get them into the tolerance.

You need - feeler gauges and a digital vernier
