its winge time....
After picking my race bike up not long ago it came with loads of spares so i fought why not build a wet bike out of the spares, everything is there except a pair of forks and plastics. So off i set to work.
Winge commences
Firstly the spare engine.
I decided that because it had been stood for a long time ill take it apart and have a look inside. Once the all the covers and the cylinder heads were off i noticed a few very interesting things.
1. Shims missing
2. Sawdust in the cylinders
3. Oil pump snapped
4. A random bolt in the bottom end????
5. a Chip in the acutual bottom end housing (forgot the name of the Case)
6. To top it all off while trying to get one of the crank case bolts off it snapped in half sending me across the garage floor stright into the boss's car complete with breaker bar in hand and a servely bruised ego so now ive got that to pay for
God today has been S**T really makes me wonder why on earth i bother at times. Even more upsetting is the fought that i am lucky enough to have a very decent set of tools at hand and i still managed to fu*k it up.
Right thats my rant over, im not touching the thing till the morning now.
Lucky i have two spare engines as ill probably need two just to make one gud un' out of em
anyway thats me.
Ill start an new thread tommorrow and put posts up of my race bike and the build process on my 'wet' bike.
Feel free to post reply's telling me to man the fu*k up that includes you as well Mick2hracing :D
Cheers
Damien

lol yeah its a proper ball ache, as regards to regreting buying it no chance it was a right deal even if the spare engine is abit of a dog, even if i sold the engine in spares id make enough to buy another so ive no really worries there. But chin up and i will build another engine im determined now lol.

Jesus mate you don't half have some shite luck. Although I have to confess to chuckling at the bit about your boss's car!
How hard can it be?
