you could undo all the 5mm allen bolts around the top of the filler cap,
it means the whole thing comes out though
bit of effort filling up

even undoing all the bolts the cap will still stay in as the 2 teeth that hold center of cap need to be released.
a locksmith? but they cost and you may be able to find a new one for less?

There use to be a company that could do a replacement key for any jap bike as long as you had the key number. You can usually find the key number on the back of the seat lock but you will have to take out the security bolts to get to the number. Not sure what they were called but I remember getting one for my RD50 in the 80's. Somebody on here must have some idea of who they are or were! :?

Just had a look on google an you could try either of the following links if you can get the number off the back of the seat lock. usually faintly stamped on the metal back plate of 80's and early 90's Honda's.
http://www.twiggersmotorcycles.co.uk/mo ... vices.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.randrsecurity.com/p/p-honda_ ... s-140.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
both say they can do it from the number.
Regards

you won't need a new tank,just remove the whole cap......allen key should do the trick

buy a fuel cap lock set which will be supplied with a new key and replace the old one...... :D

AND GET 2 SPARE KEYS CUT!
i always get spare cut ASAP after getting any new keys.
dont forget to test the new keys! i had 3 new keys cut for the van i bought last month. out of the 3, 1 works fine, 1 opens doors + ignition, it wont lock doors but thats ok, 3rd isnt doing much at the mo..
