I thought it was just to neaten things up. Id ask if its really worth it, it probably is too much hassle for just a little cosmetic gain.

also would like to try this 2, is it just as simple as drilling two holes in the right place and sending the brake line through?

Did mine a couple of months ago, with the hub out it was easy. Used a bit of washing up liquid to lube the line as it went through.

How hard can it be?
