Can anyone recommend what spark plugs to use on my vfr 400 and perhaps where I can get them at a decent price

Google search will find the type numbers from various manufactures and they are all expensive. Rick Oliver may be able to help.

ER9EH plugs - and they are not cheap due to their size..

There is a Nippon Denso equivalent but I've never used them

The V4 is the law..

China sells their copy for $40 a set I believe.

The Denso equivalent is [IRIDIUM POWER] IY24, IY27, IY31, equivalent with NGK heat ranges 8, 9, 10 respectively. (8mm thread dia.)

Funny that Denso offers "Laser Welding" and thin-tip technology on the Iridium Power and Iridium Racing series while for NGK you need to get the Laser Iridium series which has a more painful price...
