Please help distinguish between NC21 ZH engines and NC RH engines

I've been offered an engine with the engine number NC13E-1050142
From the table in
http://www.400greybike.com/files/models.htm the engine numbers seem to overlap for
VFR400Z(NC21) 1987 ZH NC13E-1050034 TO 1076150
and
VFR400Z(NC24) 1987 RH NC13E-1050019 TO 1075630
Can anyone help me definitively identify the engine by the engine number please? I've read various comments about differences between the various models of the engine and would like to make sure which model it is for.
Thank you in advance
Julian

I would have thought that they are interchangeable?
Welcome :)

My understanding is that the ignition systems differ between the NC21's and NC24's which would mean that at least the pickups are likely to be different. In a discussion back in 2010 (you were there :) according to Neosophist there are lots of other subtle differences inside the engine casings
viewtopic.php?t=19953 Nonetheless, perhaps this range of engines was effectively shared between both models?
I'm keen to avoid problems of subtle differences especially if I swap part or all of the engine with the one in my current NC24 (engine number NC13E-1067537)

Howdo - I've been here forever it seems :)
If you have the motors, then the changes to pickups might be the small change to allow your 30yr old motors being swapped successfully.
I thought that the pickup differences would be insignificant in the motors but, as is the way on the web, other opinion might be available!
The issues found in NC30/35 motors - almost identical , but with 1 vs 2 pickups and incompatible tacho/CDI
I think, and again, might well be wrong, but the NC21/24 motor is closer than the NC30/35 one.
