3en1 carb rubbers

Post by Morespeedvicar »

Hi everybody,
just wondered if anybody has any 3en1 carb rubbers for sale or know were I could get some from? Theres a set on ebay but look just as cracked as mine, and didn't want to fork out 80 quid on a new set from japan.
Thanks for your time.

I think they're the same as the 3he 600 but they don't come up very often, they usually get sold with an engine or head.

Thanks for the reply dude. I been to yam dealer an they want 40 quid each! Am currently thinking of maybe using some rubber pipe? But really want to keep it standard.
Cheers

I'm interested in this too.

The boots on my 1WG aren't cracked but they are brittle and hard.

A couple of years back I tried to restore their elasticity with a trick I saw online involving a truck load of 'wintergreen oil' and submerging the rubber in it for long periods.

It worked for maybe a year but it wasn't the permanent fix I was after. Still better than they were originally though and that's got to be about 4 years ago now.

The only long term effect is that my bike and garage still smell amazing and kinda minty... I'm always getting comments on it when out and about.

I have cracked boots as well...I wondered about hitting them with a couple coats of flex seal... that would seal them... last for a few years probably
