NC35/30 rear sprocket

Post by saltysealion »

I know the stock teeth count is different but are the dimensions/fitting the same?

IE, can I order a NC30 525 sprocket and slap it onto a NC35?

Some webpages just don't list a NC35, but they do for the NC30..

Thanks, helps a lot with some sites that list VRF but not RVF.

I can easily request 38Ting to stay stock :)

Same as RC30, innit? The sprocket carriers are the same, bar the colour.

Yes, the NC30, NC35 & RC30 all use the same rear sprocket - take note that if you are fitting a 525 sprocket the machined recess faces inwards, not outwards i.e. unlike most bikes the sprocket is offset towards the wheel, not away...

Hi Rick,

I'm a little confused.
One side is flush flat, the otherside has a ring protruding. Are you saying that the flush side should be on the outside?

Saltysealion - Yup that is exactly what he is saying Flat side of the sprocket facing outwards - ie to the left as you are sat on the bike
Now you know this you will see loads fitted the wrong way around, but obviously it doesn't seem to cause any great issues.

:rocks:

Easily done and instinctively you would think it should go the other way around.
Once you know you will see so many fitted the wrong way around but without any major issues that I am aware of, so can't be too much of an issue ;)
