Hi all I just purchased a 1990 nc30 I have a problem with indicators the last owner fitted cheap clear ones same looking ones as standard but cheap ones off net problem is they all work but flash like crazy lol so what is needed to fix do I need to replace or do something else to get a nice steady pulse going thanks

Best guess is they are led, either fit a suitable relay, fit a suitable resister or fit stock indicators.

Someone on here that's far smarter than me should be able to tell you the correct resistor or relay

The set I got had lower wattage bulbs in and flashed too fast. They were 15W as opposed to 21W I think. Swapping over to proper rated bulbs solved it.

Yes I checked bulbs in there and they are fitted with 12w 10v is this my problem lol I also checked on csm parts they list spare bulbs as 12v21w so should I try these bulbs lol

or just fit an electronic relay, they will flash anything upto about 100 watts!

this is adjustable for flash-rate you want and will flash led and standard bulbts without any other mods.. just swap the exisiting one.

I've got a similar issue on my NC35. Standard, original indicators, were doing what they should until I popped in a new battery. Now they flash like billy-oh! Being a lazy bugger I've just lived with it. It even passed the MOT, although it was mentioned verbally but the man said it wasn't illegal, so I've left it alone rather than start pulling off bodywork without knowing what I'm looking for.
So you reckon that cheapo electronic relay will do the trick? Now I need to know the answer to redmazda's last question.

I think Tyga now sells both the flasher relay and a plug that you put inline with your dash so you can use led's.

I was running into problems even after soldering in resisters, different relay so i just bought some universal bulb type indicators which worked..

You need to have both front and rear indicators the right way rear left and front left the same or they're either gonna flash quickly or not at all.

Bulbs of the correct wattage should flash at the correct rate with a functioning OEM relay. Change of bulb wattage or a faulty relay will result in an incorrect flash rate. Changing batteries should make no difference to the flash unless the state of the batteries differ and/or the charging system has questionable performance. LED lamps require a relay that is not dependent on bulb wattage (commonly called an electronic flash relay) or resistors are added in parallel with the LED lamps to provide the same current flow as the conventional filament bulbs.
