Carb cleaning and NC24 question
Has anyone had good or bad experiences with ultrasonic carb cleaning services?
£50 upwards is a lot to pay especially if the difference is largely cosmetic. But if it does a better job than I can with carb cleaner and bits of wire and the bike runs better after then maybe it is worthwhile. Incidently I notice the ultrasonic cleaning machines are actually quite cheap.
Quick question - there is a small coolant hose running forward from the expansion tank into a T, one part goes to a funnel on top of the air box and the other part goes... nowhere! Looks like there is a hose missing. Anyone know where it should go?
Thanks,
Theo

Re: Carb cleaning and NC24 question
It goes nowhere, that funnel on the airbox is a catcher for if you overflow the fuel tank when filling it up with gas, any fuel spilled around that area drips out of a little nipple on the tank to the funnel on the airbox and that pipe routs it down to the ground, tuck it out the way and make sure it points down.
As for cleaning the carbs.. it will be cosmetic if your internals are already clean.

Hi, thanks for your repluy.
The funnel thing is already connected, I was trying to figure out what the third connection to the T piece is supposed to be for. But then it occurred to me that it is probably for the breather hose coming out of the top of the fuel tank. Does that sound right?
Cheers.
