Bike looks good, nice to see you are investing in it. You can always 'increase' back pressure in the exhaust to try and solve your flat spot.
This will lose a tiny bit of power at the top, but will make more it more rideable.

I had my kr1s legs re-done years ago. Was over £220 the pair with seals/oil etc. The wait is usually the killer though. Maybe 6 weeks!
