CBR 400 RR NC29 Front brake disc compatability

Hi,

I have carried out a thorough search and it seems like although it has been suggested that brake discs from other models will fit the CBR 400 NC29 there is no solid proof of anyone doing it?

Some pages state that brakes discs from the VFR/RVF 400's, RS250's and VTR1000 fit but is this the case; as in a direct swap?

I only ask as a pair of brake discs for a VFR400 are considerably cheaper than ones for a CBR400 and obviously do not see the point in paying extra if they are identical!

Any help is much appreciated.

Yes I believe all the models you quoted fit. I've used nc30/35 and rs250 ones before with no problem

You will find cbr900, model sc33 discs fit the 29. I have new ones fitted from that model and they are identical and were half the price. Note the earlier cbr900 discs dont fit, i dont think the later ones do either. Some info with sizes should be on this site if you search.

Thanks, I did try and do a search but couldn't bring up anything solid so this thread has been helpful.

I am assuming most people find eBay to be the cheapest? There isn't a hidden gem out there that people use / know of?
