Nitron Shocks

Post by Neil22 »

Just a few questions to anyone using a Nitron. This is for a track only bike.

They offer a long and short version, does the long one get the ride height sorted with stock linkages? What is the better option in terms of linkage and shock length?

Hope someone can help.

Cheers

I purchased a Nitron shock and modified linkage from RO when I upgraded. It is longer I think by 22mm which has the same effect as changing the mounting hole in the dog bone to lift the rear end. The modified stock linkage has a roller bearing instead of the rubber bushing to help with suspension action. I am also running a 17" rear. Been running it for 2 years and it's been amazing. Mine is a street bike that sees regular track time.
