R6 shock standard settings.

Post by Alex. »

Guys,

I've tried, I really have. but I cannot find the post that gave a link to the standard settings for a 2006/7 R6 rear shock! The search removes the words 'r6' and 'shock' because they are too common!!

I hope to put my R6 shock on my hybrid this weekend, can someone point me in the direction of either the post or a link to the standard settings?

I just tried a different approach, I looked on the Yamaha UK website for the owners manual!

It's there, along with lots of others, and gives not only the standard adjustment but also which is which, the range of adjustment and which direction to adjust.

For the record:-

Preload - position 4 of 9
Rebound - position 10 of 20
Fast Compression - position 7 of 16
Slow Compression - position 15 of 24

Just need to get back out to the garage...
