NC24 ride height
Hi all
I am in the process of doing a few upgrades to the bike and one of them would be to make it a little more comfortable for a 5ft 8 rider.
Is there any way of increasing the ride height just a fraction so I am less hunched up as my legs get cramped really easily.
I tried to do the CBR600 rear shock mod a few years back but I could not get the exhaust to fit so I sold the shock on and just went back to the NC24 shock.
Cheers
Richard

Re: NC24 ride height
increasing the ride height of the bike will just jack the rear up, your seating position / handlebars / foot pegs will remain the same, just be higher up, so that wont really change.
you can change the ride-height by altering the length of the dogbone, this will change the handling characteristics, but since its a sports bike its designed to be hunched over / crouched up.

get rid of it and get something like this :D
250cc inline 4 hornet.. cbr250rr engine.. its comfortable riding positiong and almost as much go as a 24 :D

A 250 hornet with a noisy can ragged past me while I was out for stroll a couple of months ago, I have to say it sounded amazing.

I really do like them, been thinking of getting one for a while, just too many other bikes on the go at the moment... my 250s are currently only dual purpose offroad bikes, however might be getting one for a general commuter soon enough.
Yeah, detuned cbr250 engine, still rev up to aroud 16000 or so.
i really do like them, 180 rear and 130 front in 17" form with 41mm forks and decent brakes, single disc 4 pot upfront.
back to the nc24 you might be able to get some after market clips on to make the ride a bit eaiser but there alsways going to be unfortable compare to a more upright bike.
