Here we have the ultimate solution for an overheating NC30.

At least you’ll be looking at some HRC heritage through the clouds of steam.

Works for me, anyway. :D

And where might one find such an article?
Going on the internet is like owning a gun... Just point, click, then shit your pants waiting for the Police to turn up.

I found it after months of searching on Yahoo Japan Auctions and bought it through Ok!shon. The hard part was locating one, Ok!shon was a doddle.
It's a seriously chunky bit of kit, although this unit had a cracked glass and dented bezel, both of which I have fixed. The internal mechanism was a bit stiff, preventing a full scale deflection, but a drop of watchmakers oil has sorted that out.
The indication agrees with the standard electrical gauge and the sensor will be connected into the top hose between the thermostat housing and the top radiator with a 16mm threaded adapter.
Has anyone got a spare NC30 Thermostat/Radiator hose?

Regards,

Dave.

They are standard fitment on RS125's and RS250's pre '91 and also on HRC NSR's and NC30's as well as the HRC NC29 and the HRC RC30 from '88-'92. They come up quite a bit even on ebay if you look under RS250.

I've got a couple here and one waiting for Rhory to finish his project. They do tend to go sticky though and require working a little to free up if they havnt been used for a bit.

Never taken one to bits though so well done there.

There's always one or two on Yahoo. Usually $40-50 USD + $7,000,000 USD Okshon fees and shipping ;) A little too bulky though I reckon. Daytona are doing some quality LCD ones for cheap these days (also on Yahoo!).
