I am currently working my way round a tatty rvf i just bought uncovered some horrendous bodges all rectifiable however having removed rads found lower front left engine mount had a 150 mm length of threaded rod in place of the bolt and spacer
Tried a m10 1.25 bolt but thread has gone would apreciate any recommendations for a thread repair in situ if possible or if needs must will drop motor out to enable repair.

Thanks hunter that looks a good system but a bit expensive for a one off job though.

You can buy the inserts separately,
You don't need all the tools,
A drill bit an the correct thread tap.

There's a wurth trade counter not far from me will pop in on way to work and see if they can supply what's required . it certainly looks a better solution than the old helicoil method thanks again.

I should have said that you could use a nut and bolt to turn it in.

+1 on that - Wurth Time Sert is a much better repair system than the old Helicoil types
