GSXR 400

Post by egonski »

Tried to start the bike today and suspect blocked jets. Started to take it apart to get at the carbs and it looks like a real job to get the airbox out. It seems like I may have to unbolt the rear subframe. Am I missing something or is it really that big a job, or can you get the carbs out without removing the airbox?. I had to remove the tank, rear cowling and battery just to get at the air filter, hopes of squirting easy start dashed !.
I'm hoping I'm missing something obvious here as my garage is freezing!.

What model is it ?

On a GK76A : undo the airbox/carb rubber clips, pull out two large wire clips that retain the rubbers to the airbox,
push the rubbers back into the airbox. I found the carbs came out the rhs fairly easily.

There is a more detailed description here ; http://tonysleep.co.uk/info/great-gsxr4 ... ettor-saga
