3TJ Airbox rubbers.
Hi everyone, I'm sure this has been covered, but I am after a new set of airbox rubbers as mine have gone really hard. Tried boiling water , grease etc. but no go. I think I read somewhere that the earlier 1WG ones will fit. Cheers.

Re: 3TJ Airbox rubbers.
deja vu
, i have or had a box full of 3JT airbox rubbers and i couldn't get any of them to fit. Was given a new set of 1WG rubbers that fit a treat, the only difference is the 3TJ rubbers are long and curved where as the 1WG rubbers a short and straight. It made no difference what so ever and the bike ran great with them fitted.

1WG Genesis rubbers are the best replacement for the NLA 3TJ units.
It just took a long time for some owners to believe it though.

Thanks chaps, that's what I'll do then. I presume that I should use genuine Yamaha ones, probably expensive.

Thanks again, they arrived this weekend and funnily enough the airbox now goes on in 2 seconds.
