GK76A Valve Clearance Pictorial Guide?

Post by Hubbskiboy »

Can someone please direct me to a pictorial guide on how to check the valve clearances on my GK76A?
Or if someone's feeling really good-natured, perhaps they could take some photos and annotate them?
I've never done it before, so I wouldn't know where to start.
I know what the tolerances are and I've purchased a decent set of feeler gauges, but I don't want to start fiddling until I know what I'm doing.
I'm assuming that I can do this while the engine is still mounted in the frame?
Got the carbs and all of the cooling system out of the way, so should be a doddle right?
Thank you!

Yep, there's a couple of photos on the first page of the thread along with a description of how I did them. ;)

If you have not come right by now, you can use the bandit service manual and follow the steps on how to inspect valve clearance the steps and procedures are the same, keep in mind that you clearance will be different to the bandit though.
