Running Lean

Post by Sprinter »

I did the carb mods, Im running 180's on the front and 120s on the back as I have a race can. I did a plug chop today the back are ok but both the front are running a little lean. Im pretty sure the carbs are seated well, it idles fine and seems to pull cleanly through the revs. Any ideas to what could be causing it to run lean?
Many thanks James

I hope you mean 118's on the front and not 180's!

Did you do the plug chop from wide open throttle at speed, or did you let it idle before pulling the plug out?!

If there are no problems then I would leave it.

Opps yeah I meant 118's  it was idling to be honest, Ill guess ill just leave it as it's only slightly lean. (Me just being paranoid!)
