where to connect pipes for carb balance

Post by dogmatic69 »

So I have been searching all around and cant seem to figure out where / how to connect the pipes for the vacuum gauge.

Watched loads of vids on youtube also, but non of them specific to the NC35 show how its connected. Any ideas?

thanks

they connect onto the inlet tracts/manifolds,you will see little screws in them, you have to have adapters to connect them iirc..

The NC13E engine used in the VFR/RVF400s needs vaccum take-off adapters , do you have any?

If you look around the cylinders by where the carburettors mount you will find a cross head screw with an aluminium washer behind it, remove it and screw in your take-off adapter (lightly as they usually have a rubber sealing o-ring on them)

One of the cylinders already has a pipe for the fuel tank vaccum hose so you use this on that cylinder on the NC30/NC35 motors. The NC21/24 has 4 take off screws and a separate fuel tank vaccum spigot.

If I recally correctly the screws are different lengths so try not to mix them up

under accories you can get them.

there are two common sizes, 5 and 6mm.. i cannot remember which one is for the vfr as I have both.

at 8gbp for both sizes (8 adaptors) in the nylon set you cant really go wrong as it gives you the option of doing most any bike that needs them...
