Holy crapbags
Just put together a needed/wanted parts list for my nc24. Over a grand in total. At what point do you say enough??? Removing the wanted and only keeping the needed is still a small fortune but at 15+ stone front and rear springs really need to stay on the needed list. Just curious, how much is about right to sink into a bike in anybody else's opinion? Spent £300 on the bike , a shed lol. About £150 getting her up and running. When do I say enough is enough?

When you no longer feel it's worth it.
I stopped counting the money I've spent on my NC, it's worth every penny I spend on it (when it's working......)

Re: Holy crapbags
What could you buy a decent ready to ride one for ? What would the cost them be for the suspension set up
Is it a bike you plan on keeping for a while or a short term thing?
There's many variables , I've spent silly amounts on my 30 but I have no want to sell it anytime soon.

Re: Holy crapbags
That's actually made me feel loads better, wanted a vfr since the 21 was first released. Finally got one and I've no intention of letting it go lmao, even if it's only the 24. Silly amounts it is then. Think if I'm not alone then I'll just stop stressing about it. Thanks

So for a couple of grand you'll have a good bike. Sounds good to me!

Re: Holy crapbags
£150?
Jeez I've spent more than that on a set of tyres for mine
I paid £900 for my NC30 track bike and must have spent at least 2 grand on it since
Full engine service, Tyga exhaust, fork upgrade kit, Nitron shock, chain and renthal sprockets, rear sets, new discs, pads and rebuilt calipers at both ends, light weight alloy subframe, QA throttle, rejetting carbs, K&N filter mod, a pair of RVF 17" wheels, DIY repainted bodywork.... then all the stuff needed for track like trailer, tyre warmers, spare tyres, tools etc...
Worth every penny though

Re: Holy crapbags
I have spent double on mine than what I could ever sell it for but when I was looking at new bikes there was just nothing I liked as much as mine so I'll keep spending even though I know it's a money pit lol but I've got a bike that I love

I really lost count in the last +10 years, and never mind at it anymore, just enjoy the fun while it can. Middle of moving rightnow and my triple parts cabinet 13 drawers content is over grand of mostly new genuine parts and counting
