Which clutch plates should I buy? (NC30)
Hi all.
I'm in need of changing the clutch on my NC30 as it started to slip on full throttle on my way home from the May Day run to Hastings.
I have bought a very nice clutch basket (because I don't know what state mine is in) but the basket has been fitted with cheap fleabay clutch plates which I believe are not worth using.
What clutch plates do you all use, I see Ghecko and EBC do plates but are they any good? I have an XR 400 and was told the only plates that are good are genuine Honda so i'm thinking this may be the case for the NC30 too?
I'd really appreciate any guidance from people that have had to replace their clutches, I won't be doing this myself but will hand it over to Fast lane motorcycles in Tonbridge, Kent to do the job.
Many thanks
Sam

Thanks for the reply Tony, I have checked out the video someone posted on here and it does look simple but I have the tendency to break things haha. Would you recommend the EBC kevlar race pack for road use? It will be mostly commuting to be fair and I'm far from riding like Marquez so just want a good replacement.Drunkn Munky wrote:I use a ebc kevlar race clutch pack and cant fault it

Imo theres no negatives with the kevlar plates as far as road riding goes, its just a really nice clutch.
