Expansion tank overflow hose split nc23

I've put my nc23 back on the road after ten years of being sat round doing nothing after a few tweaks everything is running fine, the only thing I gave noticed is that the overflow on the expansion tank has split.
Will this effect the cooling system?
Will it be losing water?
And can you repair the hose without replacing the whole expansion tank?

nope its an overflow....clue is in the name.

you will only loose coolant through this if something else has gone horribly wrong or you have overfilled the coolant.
