Winter, come Spring, come Summer refresh . The final chapter
This one is more of a refresh rather than a re-build as it was a fully running bike this morning less a rear wheel.
Anyway, I'm changing a few things on the bike and grabbed a few photo's as I was clearing up.
The history of the bike goes as follows,
-Bought August '04
-DroppedSeptember '04
-Tyga'd the bike
-RVF replica'd the bike
-Now it's a Type 3 bike in Type 6 colours
Here's how the bike looks (well, did this morning anyway)

And this is how I packed it up tonight,

Plans are as follows,
- New system (bought 3 months ago from Japan and arriving this week),
- New rads (I've an RLR top rad and ordering a Rick O alloy lower one),
- Rear (RVF) and front wheel getting powdercoated white again,
- New Honda and titanium (only a few of these) bolts to replace old/tarnished ones,
- Tyga c/f RCV front fender,
- Fit either a clear or light smoke screen,
- Replace damaged/cracked/worn bits (like the rear tank rubber, vacuum pipe etc).
- Some new tyres and a day at the Dyno.
Watch this space for continued updates as they come, I hope to finish everything not long after Christmas but by which stage I'll be back on crutches and not able to ride it
Roll on April...

Re: Winter refresh
Nice. What system are you getting?

Re: Winter refresh
Most likely going to store it. When I took it off today I realised again how nice a system it is and would probably regret letting it go. I've been offered as much as £400 for it but I think I'll just hold on to it. There are a few dibs on it if I do go down the route of selling but unless I really need the money I'll be holding on to it.cragionvfr wrote:the thing im wondering is wat are you doing with the old system you have just taken off?
