Re: Nc29 h4 bulb relay mod
Hi Toman, did you get sorted? First can I say as usual In that forum link I was highly confused so my ramblings make no sense but I'm sure you can see what's involved and it may help. Second to this there's two differing wiring harnesses with the 29, the later model has no high/ low switch. So the mod may differ, I'm unsure now how to do this but if its the R model you have I can look into how I done this. You will need a minimum 15amp relay and some wire. I think I installed a 20amp relay. They are cheap whichever you go for. You will also need a pair of rings off eBay, just search H4 adapter rings, these convert the bulb holders to the correct h4 standard, unless you want to butcher your head light holders of course.

Re: Nc29 h4 bulb relay mod
Hi, there are the pinouts I had wrote down. The numbers shown here should be printed on the bottom of the relay. The wiring that your splicing is on the multi plug in the left mid, next to the fuses.
Remove battery wires.
Unplug the white wiring from the above connector that comes from the switch.
Unplug the white wire going to the loom.
Now solder/splice some wire to both white wires and use spade connectors at the end of the new wires.
Connect
Relay 86 to the switch white wire.
Relay 87 to the main loom white wire
Relay 85 wired to a suitable ground
Relay 30 to the battery also install an inline 30amp fuse.
Try it without the bulbs, If the relay does not click as expected,( you should hear a clunk from the relay). if not try swapping the connectors from 86/87. Just in case my scribblings I wrote at the time are wrong.
Buy some spare fuses just in case.
now put your bulbs in the sockets and hope for the best. Don't touch the bulbs remember!
If all goes well, seal it well, jobs done. Now just install your h4 bulbs with the rings. Bend the tabs back on the bulbs so they fit the holder. I use Philips extreme but you can also get osram bulbs.
I hope it helps but please remember I'm not an expert, so its at your own risk. This is for the R model. Not sure if its the same for the L&N models.
