Fuel tank seating rubber

Post by Kenthammer »

Help please!

On removing the tank, the rubber thingy at the front of the tank just appeared on the floor.

After much consideration, and checking manuals, and attempting to fit it, I cannot work out where or how it seats either on the frame near the headstock end, or on the front of the tank.

Any guidance (along with the mandatory piss taking) greatly appreciated

Unless someone can provide a picture, my only suggestion is to use the pictures contained in the NC30 parts list pdf included in the "Document Library" located on this website, a library of useful info that no-one seems interested in viewing.

Any help? Shows orientation in regards to the tank, and you can see the groove which the headstock sits in

Thanks guys, so I guess the bracket on the front of tank locates in under the bottom of the rubber once it is seated on the frame.

that rubber thing at the front right, i reaplced one of them, it sits in a weird way that doesnt look quite obvious but once its in properly it shouldnt fall out.

it has a cut in it, like a slot from memory that sits in the front of the frame, align that with the frame would be agood start.

i will see if i have any pictures

It fits into the bracket on the tank first. If you get it in the right way round, you'll get the slot Neo mentions facing toward the front of the bike. It locates on the back of the frame behind the headstock.
