Getting some new airbox rubbers as mine are solid. Just wondering what model carbs i have. There is no return cable on the carbs and no place for one.


The reason i ask is the bike is a bit of a mix of models and i hear the rubbers can be different??

SP 2TK carbs have metal tops as yours appear to have and no return cable.
The earlier Genesis has the return cable.
The later 3EN2 has plastic tops.
I have no input on 3EN1 carbs.

The Genesis airbox rubbers fit and are readily available at reasonable cost.

See... told you they were cheap......... postage may push up price though.

This is also a know work around for hardened 3TJ rubbers as confirmed by Southend Chris.

Any ideas what this wire is for, the connector with a blue wire and black? wire. Its sat loose for all of last season and had no ill effects, just curious as to what it could be.

i've just realised what its for. The fan.... Which has never been fitted!!

I was going to say it was for the fan, I found it was the longest wiring on mine and poorly wired up, get yourself some 2 pin way seals to wire up, quicker if you ever need to disconnect.

thanks for the link have ordered some as theyre always gonna come in handy.

The main problem i have is that the fan isnt even on the bike, its actually "blown me away" that ive ridden track days all last year without bloody noticing it doesnt have one ha ha. I guess for me anyway i just assumed it was there even when changing the plugs etc i didnt notice it!

You can probably find one, it shouldn't be to much.

it's not so bad when the bike's moving it's when you ride in traffic.

I've got a fan off a 3tj dunno if they the same?
