nc30 cdi plug - engine 4 pin plug promblem

hi , i'v been buying up parts for my bike , found that the 4 pin plug out the cdi box is a male plug and the 4 pin one in the loom is a male plug , were things changed over the years or am i missing something , cheers

Sounds like you have the wrong cdi.
Nc30 cdi has 2 plugs, one black, one white & both female.

On the plus side, I have spare cdi here if you need one :)

is your loom on the bike? are you plugging it into the right plug, there should be two next to each other and another couple of plugs for the brake lights and what not.. perhsp your tring to stick it int he wrong hole.

the cdi looks ok.

it is a nc30 one by the looks, 2 plugs both male (has pins) and black / white.

the 6 pin plug is fine but the 4 pin on the engine that go's to the pickups is the same male plug , the 3 engines i have are all male plugs as well , guess i can just cut it of and fine new plug for it , must be diffient model or something

You must be,the pick-up plug into the harness near the engine,
The CDI plugs in under the seat.
Try tracing the wires back from the pick-up plug.

unless you dont have an nc30 engine there is no difference between l,m,n models of nc30 ignition plugs and loom.

pictures engine numbers etc would help.
