NC30 water pump hose installation help

This is a right pain to get on and I don't' want to chew my hose up any more, any tips?

Dip it in boiling water for a bit to soften it.and use lube to..m

Heat it up, dab of oil. Should go on with a push.

whats the best lube? fairy liquid?
