Hi guys,
Well, taking the stock Honda system off was pretty easy, everything came apart really well. Rear header banks were fiddly, but because the nuts came off easily, no probs. Don't think this bike has seen rain.
Putting the new Tyga system on, and I've got a question over clearance on the swing arm. The exhaust from cylinder 1, ie lefthand side rear, is only 1.5 CMS above the swing arm(at the spring centre) which doesn't look like enough. Bike is on rear wheel stand, so the suspension is loaded, but still, 1.5cms clearance doesn't look enough.
I think I have the rear pipes in the correct order, cos the ends finish in the same place, for the Siamese collector pipe.
Have I done something wrong? Do I need to reposition the rear headers? I think they are identical and symmetrical, but am I wrong?
Any assistance gratefully appreciated.

Get them fitted loosely as a system and then tweak it as necessary for the clearance. My system is bloody close to the swinger and to the linkage. My sidestand twats it.

It is, IMO, how they are.

worth it...

Don't nip it all up til the end and get any glamourous assistance to hold it as you do.

Thanks! What happens when the swinger hits the exhaust pipe? Will it dislodge it?
This bike gets airborne frequently, on Fen roads, I do need decent suspension working:-)

I've ridden some of them fenland roads - whoops and jumps and dodgy corners..ride it like a jockey.

The swingarm will win so get it right when fitting it. You can manipulate it a fair bit when fitting.

Thanks, I have tightened the rear headers, so I'll slacken them off and tweak it around a bit. Front already slack. So what's so good about these exhausts to justify this hassle?? I can see they are pretty, but is the performance difference worth it?
Recommend MCT suspension for tailoring suspension to suit. Bike rides better than a new one now. WP rear helps. Ace bike for fen roads
