just wondering how the main seat is held down on other ppls bikes? mine is bolted down & it just seems wrong to me??

Normally, there are 2 plastic tabs on the seat that it goes into, but almost all of these are broken so people have devised ways or rectifying this. In your case, it's boled in. The RVF however does bolt in at the rear of the seat.

Second that viper, my nc30 seat has a large selection of washers holding it to the rear unit . Problem solved . :D
