I have an air leak coming from the vacuum nipples on the inlet manifold, the brass nipple is very loose and air is getting in, anybody have a home remedy for this like using brass splicers or inserting a larger brass tube and capping it off..
Here's a pic of the motor

If you still need it for a vacuum supply I would find a slightly larger diameter tube and push it in or insert a 5 or 6mm bolt.

As a home remedy I'd use some silicon sealant, put it on the pipe part but not on the end so when you stick it in nothing goes inside.
As a long term solution I'd look for some inlet manifolds. I think the FZ600 used the carbs from the FZR400 because the frame was too narrow for bigger carbs. The FZ used the XJ600 engine and I think the XJR used the XJ engine .... hope you follow that :) You'll need to do some home work on that so measure the internal dia of the carbs (32mm ?) and try to match them up.

Ye I'm currently trying to source some 4mm brass pipe for the inlet rubbers. They aren't in bad condition, apart from the holes for the vacuum supplies and I dont mind a bit of DIY

Is there another stub that has a take off point ? maybe you could use that and seal no1 permanently, you might need a new bit of vacuum pipe but it would be easier than finding new stubs
