HRC shock spacer dimensions

Post by GlenR »

Hi fellas,

Just got an R1 so my rvf can go back to being a weekend toy after spending much of its time as a commuter this last year! After riding the big bike, the rvf feels as though it's dragging its butt on the ground, so would like to jack up the rear a bit.

Has anyone got a pic or the dimensions of the HRC shock spacers so i could mill some up? Also what thickness should i be looking at. Had a search on here and found the values of 5mm and 10mm which equate to apparently 15 and 30mm ride height increase. The HRC manual seems to suggest making shims in 1 and 2mm thicknesses, then using 3mm total? Not sure what thickness to go with..

Thanks all!

8mm seems to be about the optimum size for the spacer - if you don`t want to have to mess about with making your own I can supply you a beautifully machined and perfectly profiled ready made one for £15.00.
