Buying a blank key

Post by christine »

Hi. I am looking to buy a blank key to get cut so I have a spare.
I did the same thing with my zx6r as it only had one key when I bought it.
Here is my problem, I can't seem to find a blank that is the same as my key. Does anyone know where I can get one from?

Thanks

most decent bike shops should be able to do this for you, mine used to take a photocopy of the key and send it off.

Hey presto new key.

I live in the middle of nowhere. EBay is usually my savior!

I got an Nc30 key cut locally they did ask "is this key one off ebay? If so, I'm not allowed to cut it." To which I replied, "oh no, I got this from a Honda dealer!"

Just be careful on ebay. I bought a key and it specifically said it fits an nc but it didn't (I accepted what they said instead of fetching mine out of my bike and visually comparing)... got one from the local locksmith in the end end made it fit the nice Honda logo plastic section of the eBay key. .. so now it looks smart and better than a normal blank

I might have to bite the bullet and go in somewhere and see about one or look for a keyless job!

You will find that nearly any key cutting shop will have blanks to fit yours.
