Quickshifters
Hi all,
Im looking into quickshifters for my RVF trackbike. Just wondered if anyone had any experience of them on the RVF. Had a few questions come to mind and couldn't really find any info via the search function;
1) any recomendations?
2) are they easy to "wire up" to the RVF?
Cheers
Aidan

Re: Quickshifters
was gonna get a HM Quickshifter on my RVF race bike, we sell them and they're used by top teams. Very reliable and relatively easy to install.

Re: Quickshifters
I used to have one for my NC30. I didn't install it because it wasn't compatible with reverse shift.

Re: Quickshifters
talk to mike at BMC Racing - 01948 667976
he uses them on all his rvf race bikes, ive ridden two of the rvfs built by him. 1 with just an 'up' shifter and 1 with an 'up and down' shifter. very good bits of kit,.
he has also fitted 1 to my zxr race bike and its awsome.

Re: Quickshifters
you can make them so they work off a button you press, this is how the guys in superstock got away with using one as it just cut the ignition for a fraction of a second but i'd rather concentrate on riding than having to push a button when i wanna change gear too

Re: Quickshifters
used to have a translogic quickshifter on my cbr400, easy to wire up, basically a live, a neutral and a loop into each coil, not much else really, recomend to anyone, got a techtronics one to fit to my nc30, not really as impressed with the kit but will probably work just as well, does not seen to have the same build quality. never used the button type but know people who have and swear by them, not as brain taxing to use as you think, just try one, other than the sensor bit they are basically the same.
