A few NC30 fork rebuild questions

Ok a few questions,

Can early springs go in later forks? As I've noted that the the early spring are longer than the later ones so would this increase the preload on the forks?

Was wondering what grade of fork oil is best for the road. From my other japanese bikes I've found that thicker fork oil helps the handling, what is the better grade for the NC30?

Oh and what is the preferred fork oil level? Do you add a bit more to stop the forks bottoming out?

Hi.
Best option is to get some later springs at a rate to suit your weight.
Then get the valves reshimmed to suit those springs rather than run heavier oil.
The lighter oil that you can run the less chance of aeration of the oil.
Rick Oliver apparently does a pretty good front end upgrade kit with springs shims and oil for a DIY job.

At the moment I'm just looking to get the front end back together.

So was wondering what other people do.

Maybe, they'd obviously be compressed more than if they were in the correct size forks, i'm just wondering if they would still have as much compression left in them as the proper springs do.

I'd try and get it set up as best as possible, i've found out from experience that a well invested in suspension setup can be the difference between that pothole being rough or that pothole throwing you off the bike :/
