Difference between 87/89 nc24
I've recently started work on my nc24 and I'm running I to trouble the reg says 89 but when I check the numbers on the frame it matches up to 87 numbers is there any obvious difference between the two years I can def say yep that's the year of the bike

They were never made for the UK Market so probably when it was registered. Wouldn't worry about it, as above, the info will be the same.
